Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia have won the "Carrier of the Year" and "Low-Cost Carrier of the Year" awards respectively at the KLIA 10th Anniversary and Awards 2007 Dinner event on June 28.

The "Foreign Carrier of the Year" went to Biman Bangladesh Airlines while Cebu Pacific Air won the "Promising New Foreign Carrier of the Year" at the event organised by Malaysia Airports.

MASkargo received the "Carrier of the Year (Cargo)" award while Korean Air was named "Foreign Carrier of the Year (Cargo)".

Transport Minister Datuk Ong Tee Keat, in his speech, said the country must continue to improve its services.

Congratulations to both Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia.

However, not sure what are the judgment criteria as I am surprised to note Biman Bangladesh Airlines was named "Foreign Carrier of the Year".
