Title:Money Exchange at Pudong Airport New T2?
Post 1 Money Exchange at Pudong Airport New T2? Apr 22,08 09:43 AM

Having a flight to PVG in a few days, so will soon be arriving into the new Terminal 2 (T2) at Shanghai"s Pudong airport for the first time.

I need to exchange some foreign currencies and would like to get all these hassles sorted out at the airport, does anyone know where are "money changer" outlets located in the new terminal? Also, which one is better in terms of rates and other fees etc. if anyone has first-hand experience to share.

Any input much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi KAGGZ.

There is a currency exchange place run by Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (SPD Bank in short) at T2"s baggage reclaim area for international arrivals (this is after you have cleared passport control), but I strongly urge you NOT TO USE THIS OUTLET as they do charge a RMB50 yuan service fee per transaction.

There is also a Travelex and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) outlet available on the same floor in public areas. You may want to try these ones but I don"t know about their rates and whether or not do they charge commission or service fees.

Hopefully this helps.KAGGZ(07/03/08 23:54)
