Title:Air China & Shanghai Airlines Star Alliance Membership Differences
Post 1 Air China & Shanghai Airlines Star Alliance Membership Differences Mar 14,08 09:34 AM

I understand both Air China and Shanghai Airlines have "full member" status in the Star Alliance.

However, I also heard from several sources (including some from the parties in concern) suggesting Air China"s Star Alliance membership actually grants more rights to the airline than the membership for Shanghai Airlines. Is this true? If so, what are their membership differences?

There are many minor differences in their Star Alliance memberships. However, the biggest out of all is probably that Air China gets voting rights while Shanghai Airlines doesn"t within Star Alliance.
